
El Maneki-neko (招き猫, lit. “gato que invita” o “gato que llama”) es una figura japonesa común que a menudo se cree que trae buena suerte a su dueño. En tiempos modernos, suelen estar hechos de cerámica o plástico. La figura representa a un gato, tradicionalmente un Bobtail japonés tricolor, con una pata levantada en el gesto japonés de llamar.
